For this Throwback Thursday, we’re featuring the work of LA based artist, Raymond Pettibon, whose 1999 exhibition at The Drawing Center featured over 500 drawings as well as a selection of artist’s books, fanzines, and record covers. This retrospective look at two decades of the artist’s work marked the first major museum presentation of Pettibon’s art and was organized by the Philadelphia Museum of Art and the Renaissance Society at The University of Chicago.

Currently the summer issue of the Paris Review features the portfolio of Raymond Pettibon’s,Real Dogs in Space, and offers a charming history of the dogs that have been in his life- especially Boo, a Brussels griffon, whose portrait graces the cover of the current issue and appears throughout the featured drawings.
